Unemployment Statistics – NEW RELEASE
The Seychelles has made a commitment to the IMF to be SDDS (Special Data Dissemination Standard) compliant by mid 2015.
In its endeavour to honour and meet the SDDS compliance criteria, the Bureau embarked on a series of continuous quarterly labour force surveys (QLFS) as of January 2014. This is in order to have regular statistics on unemployment which is one of the data categories of the Real Sector.
The Population Bulletin No 2 of 2014 will not be released on 18th August as per our Advance Release Calendar, due to delays in receiving data from our administrative source. The bulletin is now expected to be published on 29th August.
