This unit is responsible for the execution of the Population and Housing Censuses
and other household surveys, namely the Household Budget Survey and the Labour Force
Survey.
The last Population & Housing Census was carried out in August 2002 and the
report together with an Atlas (which was produced for the first time) was published
in December 2005. The next Population & Housing Census is scheduled for
2010.
The last Household Budget Survey was carried out over the period May 2006/July 2007.
From this survey, new basket for measuring price changes was drawn and
the report is currently being prepared.
The report for 2005 Labour Force Survey has been published and is available both
in hard copy and Cd rom.
